Alison Tanzer is a solicitor at Varga Lawyers, bringing more than 20 years of legal experience to her role.

Since her admission in 2005, Alison has practised across wills and estates, estate litigation, probate, estate administration and general practice. She has particular experience in inheritance claims, complex probate applications, will disputes, challenges under the Succession Act 2023 (SA), deceased estate administration and estate planning.

Alison also has significant experience in guardianship and administration matters before the South Australian Civil and Administrative Tribunal, particularly in matters involving vulnerable persons and older members of the community.

Before joining Varga Lawyers, Alison held senior legal and leadership roles, including as Partner at a leading Adelaide estates firm. She brings a vibrant, personable and client-focused approach to her work, and understands the deeply personal nature of wills and estates matters.

Alison is known for guiding clients through sensitive legal issues with clarity, warmth and professionalism. She is an experienced negotiator who works to resolve matters sensibly where possible, while also bringing strong litigation and advocacy experience when court proceedings are required.

Alison also accepts briefs from other solicitors to act as a Court-appointed Litigation Guardian and Administrator of estates in the Supreme Court of South Australia.
